Jean Folas Homes was created from lived experience, compassion and the belief that everyone deserves a place where they feel secure and respected.

Meet the founder
I am Valentina Folas—a U.S. Army veteran, a mother of two, a homeowner, and the founder of Jean Folas Homes.
There was a season in my life when I experienced homelessness and housing instability as a newly divorced mother raising two very young children—my nine-month-old baby and my two-year-old toddler. During that difficult chapter, my family received housing assistance through the HUD‑VASH program.
That support gave us more than a place to live. It gave us stability, room to breathe, and an opportunity to rebuild. With time, I was able to move from housing uncertainty to becoming a homeowner. I have never forgotten what it felt like to need help—or the difference that a safe and stable home made in our lives.
Jean Folas Homes grew from that experience. I wanted to create the kind of housing I would have needed during that difficult transition: clean, furnished, affordable, respectful, and designed to preserve each resident’s dignity and independence.
The company is named in honor of my father, Jean Folas. His name represents love, strength, family, and the sense of belonging that I want every Jean Folas Homes resident to experience.
For me, this is not simply a housing business. It is a way to use what I have lived through to help someone else find stability and begin their next chapter.
